Biography
Born in 1960 in Marrakech, Noureddine Daïfallah studied at the School of Applied Arts in Marrakech and at the regional educational center, CPR, in Rabat, in the plastic arts section. He is currently a professor of plastic arts. His first exhibition dates back to 1977. He is a laureate of the Biennale of Turkey (International Commission for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage), Istanbul 1991.
He lives and works in Marrakech.
At the beginning, Noureddine Daïfallah realized calligraphies of a certain legibility with fine letters in black enhanced with colors. The first vertical and horizontal structuring with rectangular spaces appeared in 1991. The background is mostly white, but black rectangles may appear in opposition where the letters are drawn in white ink.
